The Somali Development Foundation exists to empower Somali communities through comprehensive programs that address the unique challenges and opportunities facing our people in Minnesota and beyond.

Our History

Founded in 2020, the Somali Development Foundation emerged from a recognized need for culturally competent services and programs that address the specific challenges facing the Somali community in Minnesota.

Since our inception, we have grown from a small group of community advocates to a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving hundreds of families across the Twin Cities area.
